The Council considers that the installation of the external roller shutter to the door of the Golf Shop harms the significance and special character of the Grade II listed building. The applicant has failed to provide information relating to the ecological impact of the driving range netting upon wildlife and the adjacent ancient woodland, contrary to the requirements of Policy SP33 Conserving the Natural Environment and NPPF policy N2: Improving the natural environment.
POSITIVE AND PROACTIVE STATEMENT
The applicant did not enter into any pre application discussions with the Local Planning Authority. It is not possible to support a scheme of this nature and no amendments have been identified at this time to make it acceptable.
