Conditions / Reason for Refusal: Informatives: 1. Consent is granted to the following schedule of works, and refers to the submitted applicant’s site plan: Five section of Hedgerow -Remove. 2. All tree works detailed in Informative 1 shall be carried out in accordance with British Standard 3998: 2010, unless otherwise stated in the notification. 3 Please note any non-exempt authorised works should be completed within 2 years of the decision notice otherwise a new notification for consent to carry out any non-exempt tree work will be required. 4 Nature conservation protection under UK legislation is irrespective of the planning system and the applicant should therefore ensure that any activity undertaken, regardless of the need for any planning consent, complies with the appropriate wildlife legislation. If any protected species are found on the site, then work should halt immediately, and an appropriately qualified ecologist should be consulted. For definitive information primary legislative sources should be consulted. Furthermore, vegetation removal should be undertaken outside of the bird breeding/nesting season, March to August inclusive. If any clearance work is to be carried out within this period, a nest search by a suitably qualified ecologist should be undertaken immediately preceding the works. If any active nests are present, work which may cause destruction of nests or, disturbance to the resident birds must cease until the young have fledged. 5 Replacement hedgerow planting will be required and should be as follows: Planted between 1 November and 31 March. Two year-old transplants. Between 450 millimetres (mm) and 600mm high. Native species, with no single species making up more than 70 of the total. Planted in 2 rows 40 centimetres (cm) apart that are staggered with at least 6 plants per metre. Kept clear of weeds until they’re established. You must not obstruct or block entry points to open access land. Prepare a planting strip at least 1.5m wide with good soil conditions. Clear existing vegetation to remove competition for new planting.
