That the proposed signs numbered 7, 8 and 9 on the submitted plan EG on the Move Sign Details & Elevations 24-219 Rev 5 dated 27/06/2024 be refused for the reason set out below;
Reasons for Refusal

The Council considers that the proposed signs (indicated number 7, 8 and 9) on drawing EG on the Move Sign Details & Elevations 24-219 Rev 5 is unnecessary and would result in a clutter of advertisements to the main elevation of the building. As such, would be visually harmful to the amenity of the area, and contrary to Local Plan Policy SP60 and the National Planning Policy Framework.
POSITIVE AND PROACTIVE STATEMENT
The applicant did not enter into any pre application discussions with the Local Planning Authority. Whilst discussions during the determination of the application have identified a possible acceptable alternative to this proposal, the applicant has been unwilling to amend the scheme. This was not considered to be in accordance with the principles of the National Planning Policy Framework and resulted in this refusal.
