Consent is granted to the following schedule of works, and refers to the submitted applicant’s site plan:
T1 Himalayan Birch Prune back one damaged and three - four of the lowest branches overhanging the boundary with no 4 Hall Mews. Branches less than 2.5cm diameter to be pruned right back to their point of origin. Larger branches to be pruned back to a suitable small diameter pruning point. Overall height will remain unchanged at 12-13m. Overall spread to remain unchanged at approximately 6m. This should raise any overhang to above eaves height.
T2 Tibetan Cherry Prune back 3 low overhanging branches to suitable pruning points. One cut approx. 4cm, 2 cuts < 2.5cm. This will reduce the overhang to approximately 1m but give ground clearance of 5m. Overall height and spread to remain unchanged at 5-6m height and approximately 3m spread
T3 Japanese Crab Apple Prune back small diameter straggly extended growth to leave at least 4m height and at least 3.5m crown spread All cuts to be made to suitable pruning points
T4 Topiary Yew Cones trim straggly new growth back by approximately 20cm all round to keep them in shape

All tree works detailed in Informative 1 shall be carried out in accordance with British Standard 3998: 2010, unless otherwise stated in the application.

The Tibetan Cherry is best pruned during dry weather in May or June as this species is prone to silver leaf fungus if pruned in the colder, wetter months.

Birch trees do not tolerate pruning well, so ideally, only essential safety related work would be carried out on this tree species

Please note the authorised works should be completed within 2 years of the decision notice otherwise a new application for consent to carry out any non-exempt tree work will be required.
