The Council considers the proposed single storey rear extension, by virtue of its overall size and scale and its proximity to the shared boundary with the neighbouring properties and its private amenity space, would have an adverse visual impact on the amenity of the residents of that property by way of overbearing impact and loss of light, contrary to Local Plan Policy SP55 ‘Design Principles’.
