Conditions / Reason for Refusal: |
01
The Council considers that the timber structure to the side of the property represents a poor quality addition to the host property which due to its design location and materials of construction would have a significant detrimental effect on the appearance of the property. Furthermore, it would introduce an alien feature within the street scene and would be materially detrimental to the character of the area. As such it is therefore contrary to Local Plan Policy SP55, the SPD Householder Design Guide and NPPF which seek to ensure high quality developments which contribute in a positive manner to existing buildings.
