The Council considers that the proposed telecommunications mast will form an incongruous feature in the streetscene due to its prominent and exposed siting. As a result the mast will detrimentally affect the visual amenity of the streetscene and the appearance of the area more widely, contrary to Local Plan Policy SP61 ‘Telecommunications’ and the advice contained in the National Planning Policy Framework.
