Officer Recommendation: NO OBJECTIONS
Officer Recommendation Date: 23 April 2021
Decision Date: 27 April 2021
Decision Type: NO OBJECTIONS
Temporary Expiry Date:
Decision Level/Committee: Delegated (Part 2A)
Conditions / Reason for Refusal: Description of applied works • T1 Beech Tree – Remove the deadwood and damaged limbs and crown clean to make safe. • T2 and T3 Beech Trees – Remove the deadwood and branch stubs, crown lift by removing secondary branches to the level of tarmac level of 3 Old School Yard. Maximum branch diameter removal 100mm. Officer Report: Three Beech trees stand as shown within the submitted details. They are strong arboricultural features that provide a high level of amenity to the surrounding area. Outwardly, the trees appear to be in reasonable condition. There is a minor amount of deadwood present within their crown (which is normal for trees of this size and maturity). Branch stubs are also present from previous inexpert pruning and low branches are beginning to encroach onto the property. There are no objections to the proposed works as the removal of deadwood is exempt from normal application procedures, whilst the remaining pruning work is seen as appropriate tree management. The work will not have a detrimental impact on the trees or the amenity that they provide. Conditions: 1. All tree works shall be carried out in accordance with British Standard 3998: 2010 and shall not exceed the works as described in the officer report above. 2. Please note the authorised works should be completed within 2 years of the decision notice otherwise a new application for consent to carry out any non-exempt tree work will be required.
