The council considers that the outbuilding by virtue of the veranda at a raised level results in overlooking and loss of privacy to the private amenity space of neighbouring properties. As such, detrimental to residential amenity contrary to paragraph 127 of the National Planning Policy Framework and Supplementary Planning Document - ‘Householder Design Guide’.

The application has been determined on the basis of the revised plan which includes the opaque privacy screen received 15/04/2021.

Enforcement action has been authorised to secure the removal of the veranda, with a compliance period of 3 months and you should take the appropriate steps to avoid formal enforcement action by the Council.
